Technique
Timing, coordination, musicality, execution, and overall cleanliness of the choreography.
Interpretation of the Challenge
Creativity, storytelling, choreography, and how effectively the performance brings each challenge's theme to life.
Overall Performance
Energy, confidence, chemistry, entertainment value, and the overall impact of the performance.
Our judges recognize that community leaders come from different dance backgrounds. Performances are evaluated within the spirit of the competition, with an emphasis on growth, creativity, and execution.
How Is the Winner Determined?
Judges' Scores + Your Votes.
A combination of judges' evaluations and verified public voting determines each challenge's results.
Judges independently evaluate and rank the performances, while verified public votes establish the community's ranking. These results are combined to determine each challenge's final placement.
Each challenge contributes toward the overall championship, with later performances carrying greater importance and the Live Finale having the greatest impact.
This approach celebrates consistency, improvement, and performance quality while giving the Spokane community a voice.

Judges evaluate performances independently, and an independent scoring administrator oversees the calculation and verification of the official results.
Championship standings remain confidential until the Live Finale, when the overall Dance With Spokane! Champion will be announced.
